CONCEPT · LAST REVIEWED 2026-09 · SOURCED FROM 2 SESSIONS, APR–MAY 2026

The flagship story from the room: a lead investor said no first, then led the round six months later after persistent updates. Segment the audiences while you are at it. Investor updates need standardized metrics and capital discipline; customer newsletters need warmth. “My team of 25” plays well to customers and badly to investors, so the same fact gets two honest framings.
